Heroes in Another Dimension: All Friend Hearts Walkthrough, Part 1

Heroes in Another Dimension is a new mode added at update 4.00. It is quite fun and is unlocked after completing Story Mode. It is somewhat harder than the other modes, however, so you should get used to the game before playing this mode. It's meant as a challenge.

Sometime after the events that took place in Story Mode, Kirby and his friends return to the Divine Terminus, to find it has overgrown. They notice a dimensional portal inside, and they go inside to Another Dimension to investigate.

Your goal here is to travel through each new dimension and fight the corrupted version of a boss you defeated in Story Mode. However, you need to collect as many Friend Hearts as possible on the way. There are 120 Friend Hearts spread out in each of the new dimensions. This guide will show you how to get every Friend Heart in this mode.

                                                                     Dimension I

First, go to the tutorial and read it. Then select New Game. When you first start, there will only be one dimensional rift. Go through this to go to Dimension I, the first level.

Go up the platforms until you reach your first Friend Heart, clearly visible on the screen. Pick it up and the counter in the corner of the screen will go up to 1. Now go up to the Miracle Door up ahead to turn into Fighter Kirby.

                                                               Part 1: Fighter

Friend the Poppy Bros Jr., then use the Friend Throw and break the block and move the floor, revealing a second Friend Heart. Now eliminate the enemies up ahead and use the Friend Throw again to get 2 Puzzle Pieces and another Friend Heart. Now eliminate the enemies again and break the block. Now use the Friend Throw once again to get a Puzzle Piece and a Friend Heart.

Once again, move forwards and the wall will lift, and you will see a mosaic of Bandana Waddle Dee. You should have 4 Friend Hearts by now. Go up and through the Miracle Door to become Bandana Waddle Dee.

                                                       Part 2: Bandana Waddle Dee

Eliminate the Waddle Dees and go under the wall to grab a Friend Heart. Go further and kill the Waddle Dees and friend Burning Leo. Quickly go under the wall before it smashes you, then go up, avoid the ball of Waddle Dees, then break the crate to get a sixth Friend Heart. Keep going, then Friend the Burning Leo if you want.

Now avoid the the ball of more Waddle Dees, then go to the other side of the wall. Use Burning Leo to make a flaming spear, then light the rope and quickly get into the cannon. You will be blasted through the rock and up into the air.

You will be in a corridor with 2 switches in it. One is on the ground right in front of you. The other is in the wall up ahead. Press the first switch, then go to the end of the corridor, press the second switch with your spear. Time the second switch correctly so that the ball will be lowered to the ground floor. Stay near the switch, then as a second ball of Waddle Dees comes, press the switch again so the ball is elevated to the upper floor, then wait as it destroys the rocks at the other end of the corridor, granting you access to three Friend Hearts and two Puzzle Pieces.

Go back through the Round-Trip Door and go through the crushing walls. Don't get crushed! Move into the alcove to avoid the ball of Waddle Dees, then, from here, jump up and press the switch to gain access to two more Puzzle Pieces and two more Friend Hearts. Go back forward and through the crushing wall, then climb down the ladder and eliminate the enemies and the blocks for some food.

Press the switch up ahead to find a mosaic of King Dedede. By now you should have 11 Friend Hearts. Go through the Miracle Door to become King Dedede.

                                                             Part 3: King Dedede

Friend the Waddle Doo, then turn your hammer into an electric hammer. Now smash the stump in front of you, then hurry through the tunnel, breaking the crates, then grab the Friend Heart before it falls into the pit. Grab the Picture Pieces from the crates, then destroy the wall and eliminate the enemies. Climb the ladder and destroy the stump, then once again, destroy any crates blocking your way and grab the two Friend Hearts before you lose them. Go back and destroy any crates you missed to grab the extra Picture Pieces. Destroy the walls and eliminate the enemies once again, then smash the stump, then go ahead and smash the next stump, then finally smash the final two stumps from the platform. Now hurry and collect the three Friend Hearts before they drop into the void.

Now go ahead and press the switch to reveal a mosaic of Meta Knight. You should have 17 Friend Hearts total now. Go through the Miracle Door to become Meta Knight.

                                                             Part 4: Meta Knight

Friend the Driblee and make a water sword. Press the switch and the section will begin scrolling down. There are two Friend Hearts in here, and you must hurry. There is a lot of fire enemies, which is why water is so important. Once you get them and you're out, eat the food inside the block and press the switch to begin another maze-like down-scrolling sequence. There is another two Friend Hearts in here. Grab them, then press the switch again to begin another sequence. This time, there are four Friend Hearts, plus a Picture Piece. Now go ahead and go through the door.

Friend the Chilly, then turn your water sword into a blizzard sword. Kill the enemies until the Waddle Dee with the key appears. Grab the key before the key disappears with the Waddle Dee in the spike trap. Once you have the key, keep it safe and kill the Chef Kawasaki. Friend him afterwards, then carry the key over to the locked gate and open it to acquire a Friend Heart and two Picture Pieces. Head over to the structure and climb to the top to acquire another Friend Heart. At this point, you should have 27 Friend Hearts. Head through the Miracle Door to become Fire Kirby.

                                                                     Part 5: Fire

Friend the Sir Kibble, then use the Friend Bridge up ahead to kill the normal Waddle Dee but make the Waddle Dee with the key to open the gate so you can get a Picture Piece, a Friend Heart, and a Dream Rod in the chest. Pick a Dream Friend to use that you want, then use the Friend Bridge again to kill the six normal Waddle Dees but get the one with the key to open the gate for you. Now grab the two Picture Pieces and the last two Friend Hearts, plus another Dream Rod in the chest. Burn the ice block up ahead, then head through the door.

Pick another Dream Friend from the Dream Rod, then pick an ability to use for the boss. The ability you have right now, Fire, is good for the boss already, since the boss is weak to fire. But, if you're awesome with another ability, use it! Eat the food, which should be enough to get everybody to full health. Once you're ready, go through the door.

                                               Boss: Otherworldly Arbor, Parallel Woods

This boss is sometimes tricky, despite being merely a harder version of the easiest boss in the game. It is essentially an upgraded version of Whispy and Yggy Woods. If you use Fire for this boss, stand right next to it and breath fire on it. You won't take any damage, or almost none. It may sound weird, but it works.

When the second phase starts, the boss will drop much more fruits and Gordos. The trick with fire will actually work better here. Woods will also jump around, so try to avoid it's jumps. If you're using fire, the boss doesn't have that much health, so just keep the damage up and you should win after a bit of time. Once the boss is dead, it drops a Heart Spear. Collect it to end the level.

This ends part 1 of my guide for every Friend Heart. Hope it helps you!
